Twist Semiconductor was created as a division of Twist
Group, Incorporated in August of 1999. Twist Group,
Incorporated was founded in August 1998 by a team of
private investors and Incorporated in the State of California
in November 1998. Both companies' headquarters are located
in Fremont, California. Twist Semiconductor is a fab-less
supplier of high quality, cost effective, reliable semiconductor
product solutions for our customers. Twist serves the
consumer, telecom, medical, military, and industrial
markets.

Twist Semiconductor's management team has extensive
technical sales and marketing experience combined with
hands-on channel management and product development
experience in the semiconductor industry. This depth
of knowledge gives Twist Semiconductor the expertise
to maintain a competitive organization and the ability
to respond to technology advancements and changes in
the market.

With an initial strategic market focus in the data communications
field, Twist Semiconductor in 1999 introduced their
first of several UART (universal asynchronous receiver
transmitter) product families, the TG16C55X series.
Each product family contains singles, duals and quads
with various packaging options from through-hole to
surface mount, including the LQFP versions. All products
are available in both commercial and industrial temperature
ranges. Military product is available upon request.
These products also operate with either 3.3V or 5.0V
supplies.
Applications for these devices include; POS terminals,
high speed modems, serial networking, PC I/O interface
cards, PCMCIA cards, embedded systems, PCI and Compact
PCI interface cards. Twist Semiconductor will continue
to introduce additional UART product families later
in 2004, as well as families of mixed signal products
for the above markets.
Twist
is also in design of several high-voltage mixed signal
IC products to
be introduced in mid 2004. These will be the first of
a series of products
manufactured with its High Voltage Integrated Process
(HVIP™).
Additionally, we will be introducing medium to high
voltage discrete
mosfets by mid 2004 also.

Twist Semiconductor is partnered with several domestic
and off-shore manufacturing locations that are ISO-9001
certified. These services include layout, mask generation,
wafer fabrication, packaging and testing.
